Watcher Strategy and Its Parameters

In the Moonbot terminal connected to spot or futures on the Hyperliquid exchange, you can create a special Watcher strategy which, once launched, can automatically monitor specified trading addresses and place arrow markers on the chart based on that address’s activity (an upward arrow — opening a long or closing a short, a downward arrow — opening a short or closing a long).


The arrow colors are taken from the settings of the corresponding Watcher strategy on its User Interface tab, from the SellOrderColor and BuyOrderColor parameters.


💡 Note: by default, the Watcher strategy is created with the IndependentSignals = NO checkbox disabled on the Main tab, therefore the upper active Watcher strategy will be the one that triggers.


If you need several Watcher strategies to work simultaneously, you must set IndependentSignals = YES in each of them on the Main tab.


The Watcher strategy can also display data from the last 10 detects directly on the coin charts.


The display format includes:


  • Time;

  • Strategy Name P: (position on the coin: positive = short, negative = long);

  • Arrows (bought up / sold down / opened / closed / taker / maker);

  • Trade size (with positive or negative sign).


In the detect line:


  • A taker is indicated by double thin arrows: ⇊ or ⮅ ;

  • A maker is indicated by a bold single arrow up or down — this means a limit order was placed and then filled.


You can hide Watcher detects using the Funnel button menu by disabling Show Detects.


General Parameters


  • WatchAddress: specifies one or multiple trading addresses (you may enter more than 10 addresses separated by spaces) to monitor.
    Example: WatchAddress = 0x02e76c933b98c46fabd87fb30c14c7a623319bbe.
    Since monitoring a trading address is an active action (it corresponds to subscribing to user trades on the exchange), it requires a subscription button, which in Moonbot is combined with the strategy launch button Start marking.
    Therefore, after adding or modifying the address in this parameter, you must click Start marking. Either in the Strategies window or via the Strategies button on Moonbot’s main screen;

  • WatchMinVolume: minimum trade volume (in USDT) for a single order, which may also include multiple trade crosses; trades below this value will not trigger detects;

  • WatchMinPosition: minimum position size (in USDT) accumulated by the address on this coin; detects will not trigger if the position is below this value.
